The entire production chain of Extra Virgin Olive Oil DOP Lametia ‘from tree to bottle’ – olive harvesting and processing, oil extraction, bottling, sale of the finished product – takes place on site. The quality control governing Extra Virgin Olive Oil DOP Lametia is guaranteed by a certificating body on behalf of the Italian Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies. As prescribed by the Production Regulations, the olives are harvested in the period from late September to late December, exclusively from the tree, in order to guarantee high quality oil. The pressing is immediate and carried out in a modern continuous-cycle facility, via cold extraction, because the shorter the interval between harvesting and pressing, the better the quality of the final product. All of these considerations place Lametia DOP Oil in the category of superior oils, certainly among the best both nationally and internationally.
